Focus: DL/OL interaction

So I watched a great deal of NFL Football yesterday and something that really stood out was the line of scrimmage. While the interaction between the OL and DL in Madden got a major overhaul and is done really well this year (minus the fact that finesse ends get virtually no pressure/sacks) Madden's representation of the run game is awful. CASE IN POINT: I watched 4 games where offenses on the goal-line could not get into the endzone because they had no push from the overmatched offensive line. One team called Madden's most effective short yardage plays. TWICE. They still had to settle for FGs. So what gives? Why is it that the QB Sneak guarantees you 5 yards in Madden, but in reality it can't get a team 6 inches? Why is the FB Dive a guaranteed touchdown, when it gets repeatedly stuffed for no gain on Sundays? These glaring issues are starting to stand out and are hurting Madden's experience significantly. If they were the only gameplay errors it'd be one thing, but couple that with Bad Ratings, Jetpacking, the dominance of the Toss Play, lack of Man Lock and defensive features that just don't work (man align and defensive shading) with the lack of response from Tiburon, its beginning to look like The Same Old Madden...Ok Gamplay, Game-Killing Exploits.

It's not about what developers do BEFORE they get your money, its all about the post-release support AFTERWARDS.
