Should Madden's 4th down % mirror the NFL's?

To many football fans that play Madden online, 4th down attempts can be the must frustrating of elements. While a 4th down prompts a punt in many football situations, in Madden 4th down is where you see exploits and all other manner of cheese no one should be subjected to. Not only are the percentages too high, but a failed conversion too often prompts an opponent to quit rather than deal with the consequences of his poor decision.

As a result of community outcry of cheesy play and faux football, in Madden 04' we saw FairPlay Settings that tried to implement some semblance of real football and NFL-style play into an online arena that was almost laughably bad and saw all manner of foolishness like WRs at DE and TE. RBs at QB and any other exploit they could use to gain an advantage. Fairplay limited 4th down attempts until certain times within the game. Sadly, casual fans who wanted to "play the way they wanted to play" complained and the Madden Developers listened, and Fairplay hasn't been seen since.

I'm sorry to disappoint football fans, but I don't think that Fairplay Rules are ever coming back to Madden's Play Now (hopefully we'll see them in our Communities next year) Most Madden fans agree that players "go for it" on fourth down because they are successful. So what if that success was lowered to reflect real NFL percentages? So how would you feel if no matter the playcall/situation the success of your play was limited by a percentage? Let's be clear about what this means: While this would be done in a "football sense" your success could be hampered by such things as False Starts, DL Penetration, Batdowns by the DL, DROPS, Deflections by defender and even bad passes. So? How would you feel about having the right playcall/right situation (because we know this would happen) only to have an outside force intervene?
